Margulis Society Research Grant Awards

The Margulis Society allocates $5,000 to be given in support of radiology research conducted by UCSF residents and fellows yearly. In 2005-2006 academic year, the Society provided research grants to:
  • Avanti Ambekar, MD, a 2006 graduate of the residency program, and now a UCSF Neuro/Musculoskeletal fellow.
  • Project title: Magic Angle Effects in MR Neurography of the Sciatic Nerve
  • Jeremy C. Durack, MD, a PGY-4 UCSF radiology resident
  • Project title: Methods for Angle of Inclination Detection Applied to Radiographic Imaging
  • Zhen Jane Wang, MD, a PGY-4 UCSF radiology Resident
  • Project title: MRI Quantification of Urinary Oxygen Levels in Normal Renal Transplants
