As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco applied for and was awarded more than $30 million dollars in research funding. These grants will fund more than a dozen projects investigating everything from neurodegenerative disorders, the progression of diabetes and prostate cancer, as well as improving existing techniques used for advanced MR studies.
