Laptop / Projector Presentation in C-309

1. Preparations / Set Up

1.1 Turn on the LCD Projector - Push the ON button (C) on the Audiovisual Control Panel (fig. 1) to turn on the LCD projector. A blue image will appear on the screen after a few seconds. A red light indicates that the system is coming online; a green light indicates it is ready for use.

1.2. Enable your session
  1. Push the Laptop button (A) to enable your session.
  2. Connect the laptop to the yellow computer cable located to the left of the podium
  • IBM PC Laptop Users:
    1. Turn your laptop on and wait for your operating system to boot up.
  • Apple Laptop Users:
    1. On newer Apple PowerBooks and IBooks, special adapters are used to connect to the computer cable of the projector. Attach it to your laptop, then to the computer cable on the podium.
    2. Turn your laptop on and wait for your operating system to boot up. Wait several seconds for the projector to recognize the input. If it doesn’t work, push the FN button and the display button (F7) at the same time on your laptop.
      Another option is: Go to "System Preferences"-> Displays and click on Detect displays

2. To turn Off the System

1. Push the "OFF" button on the control panel and then remove the computer cable and place it back on the second shelf in the cabinet.


DVD or VCR / Projector Presentation

1. Turn on the LCD Projector - Push the ON button (C) on the Audiovisual Control Panel (fig. 1) to turn on the LCD projector. A blue image will appear on the screen after a few seconds

2. Turn on the DVD/VCR player - Push the DVD/VCR button (B) on the Control Panel (fig 1). Adjust the sound with the volume buttons (D) on the control panel.
