Radiology Research Symposium SEPTEMBER 2008

janine's poster

Janine Lupo is this year's winner of the Radiology Research Symposium for her poster: "Analysis of Hyperpolarized Dynamic 13C-Lactate Imaging in a Transgenic Mouse Model of Prostate Cancer".

Janine Lupo is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Sarah Nelson’s brain imaging research group. She grew up in northern New Jersey and did her undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. Her Ph.D. was earned at the UCSF/UCB Joint Graduate Program in Bioengineering. Janine’s major research focus involves developing MRI methods to characterize brain tumor microvasculature at 3T and 7T.

QB3 7T MONDAY, MAY 19 2008
mri animation The QB3 7T has recently been upgraded to the HDx platform, providing faster reconstructions, a new widescreen monitor, and support for 32 channel coils. Initial testing of the new configuration is now underway, and the system should be available for research studies before the end of May. Research pulse sequences will need to be recompiled under the 14.0 M4 ESE; we will shortly have the final 7T 14.0 ESE environment, which should be compatible with 14.0 M4. We anticipate the availability of a 32 channel head coil late this summer.
