Elizabeth Knapek

Elizabeth Knapek is a Radiochemist in the Radiopharmaceutical Facility. Elizabeth works on the development of new research radiopharmaceuticals for clinical trials. Elizabeth is a multifaceted scientist with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemistry and Physics from the University of Texas-Austin. She has developed engineering skills through data-driven troubleshooting experience in the United States Navy and from optimizing and maintaining a Siemens Cyclotron for Indiana University. Elizabeth’s career in research and repair span from experience working with lasers, transmitters, a cyclotron, automated radiochemistry synthesis modules, HPLCs, and GCs.
