The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is made up of a team of world-class faculty, dedicated staff, top-notch residents, fellows, and strong alumni base.

The UCSF’s world-renowned radiologists are active in clinical practice, teaching and research at one of the world’s leading academic health sciences institutions. The faculty is made up of clinical and research scientists, supported by a dedicated core of staff and technicians.

Many of our graduates serve in leadership positions in academia: UCSF radiology alumni include the current president of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, as well as current and past medical school deans, directors of medical centers, department chairs, heads of professional societies, journal editors, and notable principal investigators.
