Two UCSF Radiology Faculty Selected for the ARRS Clinical Educator Development Program

We are excited to announce that Roxanna Juarez, MD, and Shravan Sridhar, MD, MS, have been selected to attend the Clinical Educator Development Program (CEDP) in April in Honolulu, HI, hosted by the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to recognize these two faculty members, chosen from a nationwide pool of applicants.

Dr. Roxanna Juarez is an assistant professor in the Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics section of UCSF Radiology.Dr. Shravan Sridhar is an assistant professor in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Imaging section.

The CEDP takes place each year during the ARRS Annual Meeting, and it is designed to be a highly interactive, focused day of learning new teaching skills and tools, and improving skills that junior faculty members already have. Over half the program is hands-on learning, and it's also an excellent opportunity to meet with other enthusiastic clinician educators with opportunities to network further with faculty and attendees.

Dr. Juarez is an assistant professor in the Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics section of UCSF Radiology. "I am looking forward to attending the ARRS CEDP in April," says Dr. Juarez. "It will be a great opportunity to connect with faculty from around the country and improve my skills as a clinical educator."

Dr. Sridhar, an assistant professor in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Imaging section, agrees. "I'm excited to learn more about radiology education and bring those insights back to my colleagues at UCSF Radiology," he says. Dr. Sridhar has a passion for radiology education and was recognized with the Resident Educator Award in 2020 and 2021, during his residency at the University of New Mexico.

Each year, chairpersons and medical directors at medical schools, affiliated hospitals, and clinical research institutions are invited to nominate two candidates per institution for this program. Only 30 junior faculty are selected overall. The CEDP is funded by The Roentgen Fund® of the ARRS.
