UCSF Radiology Recognizes the Contributions of Postdoctoral Scholars During Postdoc Appreciation Week

In honor of National Postdoc Appreciation week and on behalf of the UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, I would like to thank all the postdocs who have come through our programs and who have made important contributions to the success of our research enterprise.

Over the years postdoctoral scholars have partnered with UCSF Radiology faculty on projects that have impacted the field radiology producing improved clinical outcomes for patients. Postdocs have played a crucial role in ensuring the success of many projects.

Since its early days, the department has fostered an environment that prepares postdocs for successful careers in academia and in private industry. After completing their stints at UCSF, some postdocs have moved into faculty positions within UCSF Radiology where their initial success has translated into long-term goals and achievements. Many more have obtained faculty positions at other academic centers or are performing important science in the private sector.

During National Postdoc Appreciation Week 2022 (September 19 through 23) we encourage you to thank a postdoc for their contributions. We also invite you to join us on Thursday, September 29th at SPARK SF for a PINTS event where postdocs, faculty and staff will gather to celebrate.
